Terms of Service
Kinet is built and run by me, Ayush. By using Kinet, you agree to these terms. Please review them before using the service. The Basics • You need to be at least 13 to use Kinet. • Keep your login credentials safe. I can't recover them for you. • One account per person. No sharing accounts. Don't Be Terrible • Don't upload anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes on someone else's rights. • You're responsible for what you upload and who you share links with. • Don't try to abuse the service — no scraping, no bots, no circumventing rate limits. • No malware, no phishing, no sketchy stuff. Your Files Are Yours • You own everything you upload. I don't claim any rights to your content. • I only store and deliver your files to whoever you share the link with. That's it. • When you delete a file or a link expires, that license ends and the file is gone. How File Sharing Works • Self-destruct links delete the file permanently after the first download. No undo. • Regular links expire on the schedule you pick (7, 30, 60, 90 days, or never). Expired files get purged automatically. • You can revoke or delete any link from your dashboard whenever you want. Download Tracking • I record download counts and timestamps on your links. Only you can see this in your dashboard. Storage Limits • Your plan has storage and file size limits. If you're over quota, uploads get rejected. • I may adjust plan limits with reasonable notice. Payments • Subscriptions are handled by Dodo Payments. By subscribing, you agree to their terms too. • Fees are non-refundable unless the law says otherwise. My Stuff • Kinet's code, design, logo, and docs are mine. Please don't copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute them. Copyright Issues • If someone uploaded your copyrighted content, email hello@usekinet.app with: what was copied, the link, your contact info, and confirmation you believe it's unauthorized. I'll look into it. The Legal Fine Print • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. I do my best to keep things running, but I can't promise 100% uptime or zero bugs. • I'M NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT DAMAGES, LOST DATA, OR LOST PROFITS. My total liability is capped at what you've paid me in the last 12 months. • If you cause problems by misusing the service, you agree to cover any resulting claims or costs. Termination • I can suspend or shut down accounts that break these terms. • You can delete your account anytime from the dashboard. Everything gets wiped — files, data, all of it. No AI Training • Your files will never be used to train AI models. See /pledge. Governing Law • These terms are governed by the laws of India. If there's a dispute, let's try to work it out first. If we can't, it goes to the courts in India. Everything Else • If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands. • If I make meaningful changes to these terms, I'll give you at least 14 days' notice via email or a notice on the site.
